Today I’ve got a sneaky green smoothie recipe to share with you.

You might be wondering why it’s a “sneaky” green smoothie…
As your weight loss coach, I try really hard to convince you of what you should avoid eating. But I spend less time telling you what you SHOULD eat.
That stops today.
I take some of my health, fitness, and weight loss knowledge for granted. A lot of it is simply second nature to me now that I’ve been studying and practicing this stuff for over 15 years.
So, I’m sorry if I haven’t said this more – but you HAVE to eat greens every single day.
Greens, such as spinach, kale, collard greens, and lettuces, have vitamins, minerals, and the fiber your body needs to thrive.
Not only that, and perhaps more importantly, greens help to buffer the acidic environment inside your body that causes obesity and all the major diseases (cancer, heart disease, diabetes).
You see, your body is alkaline by nature and acidic by function.
Meaning, it thrives and functions best when your internal pH is slightly alkaline. However, all the different physiological processes in your body naturally cause an acidic environment.
The only way to get your body back to alkaline is to consume alkalinizing foods and beverages.
Greens are one of the best alkalinizing foods out there, but I bet you’re not consuming some form of greens at every meal.
I bet you’re not even consuming them once every day.
I know how difficult is can be. I’m human. Personally, I need a little help myself and use a greens drink I talked about in this post previously.
But I still always look for other ways to sneak them into my diet.
So, here’s a great green smoothie recipe you can use to help the cause.
Berries ‘n Cream Green Smoothie
- 1/2 cup frozen mixed berries
- handful ice cubes
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder (I use this)
- 1-2 handfuls baby spinach (you won’t taste it but it will turn the drink dark green)
- Blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth
- Serve and be amazed!
